Messages from the Gods

The Birth and Song of Apollo
Latona our Goddess was swollen heavy with the seed of Heaven. She crossed the Tigris-Euphrates River in the pangs of labour. As she reached the distant shore, Her water broke, causing the first life-giving flood of inundation. Clutching the earth, she cried – and at that cry all worlds were silenced. Latona’s fingers marking the sand, and then arose the Sons of Earth, who danced the dance of sword and shield.
In the course of time, Latona gave birth to the Moon Diana and to the Sun Apollo. They were the Twin Wolves ever by the side of our Mistress of the Night.
The isles of Greece! the isles of Greece!
Where burning Saphho loved and sung,
Where grew the arts of war and peace,
Where Delos rose and Phoebus sprung!
To the light and rays of the Mighty Sun.
Protected by Jupiter and Neptune alike
Bring his son to this Earth to heal Mankind.
The Golden Wolf of The Sun is he,
Sol Invictus, Apollo, Phoebus, Delphinus and Lucifer,
Bringer of Light, healer to all, poet, musican
Apollo is of all
As upon this night of honour to Apollo,
We stand before He, our God, our Sun God
We venerate, honour, work and serve he.
As his rays now again to awaken and to rise,
Let the Sun God Awaken and been so seen by all eyes.
As it is our song to thee Apollo, Phoebus, Sol Invictus, Lucifer
We honour thee.
Hymn to Apollo
How Apollo’s laurel sapling shakes!
How the whole temple shakes! Away, away with the wicked!
It must be Phoebus kicking at the door with his fair foot.
Do you not see? The Delian palm nods gently,
All of a sudden; the swan sings beautifully in the air.
Bolts of the doors thrust yourselves back.
Keys–open the doors! For the god is no longer far away.
So, young men, prepare yourselves for singing and dancing.
Apollo appears not to all, only to the good.
He who sees him is great; who does not is lowly.
We will see you, Worker from Afar, and we will never be lowly.
Let the cithara not be silent.
Nor your step noiseless with Apollo approaching, you children,

The Wolf

Lup/lupul = wolf/the wolf in Romanian; lup/lupu = to die/dead in Etruscan. Similarly, haita = wolf pack in Romanian; Aita = the god of the underworld the equivalent of Greek Hades, for the Etruscans. Etruscan funerary paintings show Aita wearing on his head the head and fur of a wolf! It is similar to the Egyptian jackal headed Upuaut/Wepwawet or Greek Ophois. Upuaut had a double role, being the god of war (just like the wolf headed Dacian banners!) and of the funerary worship, opening the way both for the troops and for the spirits of the dead.

Luptã (Romanian) = lucta (Latin) = fight. Note that the Romanian word stands from lup (wolf), the symbol from the banners of the Dacian warriors. It is not the case of the Latin word, which seems to be imported from Dacian, the Romans maintaining themselves the cult of the she-wolf, mother of Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome!

In the Balkan folk medicine and apotropaeic magic, the destructive aspect of the wolf’s mouth is symbolically turned around and used against demonic forces and diseases.

The magic act of pulling children through the wolf’s mouth in the context of birth ritual and infant care shows that the symbolism of the wolf’s mouth is connected with the female reproductive organs.

The wolf appears at the most important transitory moments in the human life cycle (birth – marriage – death).

What are feelings, really?  Feelings are a powerful emotion.

Feelings are a complex part of all of us; they exist beyond anything we can see, touch or feel physically.  They go back to the beginning of everything and they exist not only within us humans but in nature herself.  In understanding ourselves we must also understand that of where all things come from, first, a seed.

When we are conceived like everything else we are conceived from a seed that fertilizes an egg and like that when we plant a seed in the ground over time we begin to see them sprout and grow to develop into something amazing.  It takes on its own life force, forms, and shapes, colours in eyes, hair, skin, and personality, this is how all thing beginning and feelings which seem almost invisible to the naked eye because they are not anything in which we can touch, but yet they are still very much a part of all things whether we realise it or not.  When we watch a seed that is planted into the ground it takes first the earth in which is the womb that gives it protection and the food it needs as well as the water that provides it nourishment to keep it moist so it can grow.  We are that is our human bodies are, ninety percent water and without that water we cannot survive and without that element being part of us, we would cease to feel or have any emotions at all, water is a powerful element and one that is extremely important, it helps us feel our truest of emotions and is the purest form of our feelings, it reveals our soul if one only looks.  The instant an egg is fertilized a new life begins, from nothing an amazing human being develops and grows inside the womb of the mother.  We all have this in common, we all come from simple seed that sprouts then develops this is our common connection to each other.  In looking at from this perspective our feelings, they truly begin at the time of our conception, when are but a thought created out of feelings and become our own person with our own feelings.

When life begins to form it starts with a starts with a sprout that peaks up from the soil and then its roots take hold to form a solid foundation, so that it can grow its roots and become strong and have a foundation.  As it matures it then grows branches and is leaves, flowers, buds and then the fruit it is to bear when it has reached maturity.  When we explore our feelings it is just like a seed, because it has to start from something and feelings are primal in nature, they are free will of who we are and what we seek of ourselves in our most our most passionate expressions.  Feelings are moveable they are never the same one day to the next, or for that matter one minute to the next, there is always something that stirs them up inside, they are fluid and ever changing, stirring up self doubt, raising questions about who we are and why we are here as well as opening us up to a deeper part of our soul.  Feelings are associated to the element of water and the Moon, the Moon existed prior to the Sun and in that of the dark and night, chaos, confusion, the darkest places where wisdom can be found by seeking to awaken and see the light we all carry within ourselves, our flame our torch this is where feelings all begin.

In a simple exercise, stop and close your eyes, breathe in and out with each breath allowing yourself to really feel what changes occur, how you feel, does your body have a stronger sense of the energy around it, does your mind feel open and free, does your heart seem calmer, do you feel lighter in body and mind, what do you feel?  Subtle changes will occur because you are allowing yourself to release from the physical part of yourself the material part in order to sense the spiritual nature which is pure and of the unseen, which is where feelings come from the darkness and the unseen world.  They are an illusion, they are your illusion but normal to you.  Feelings manifest from many triggers, music, smell, touch, sense, a sound anything that makes sense to us and that we have experienced before in our life, a word or phrase can also trigger feelings deep inside of our self, too.  In order for us to truly understand our feelings and why we react the way we do, we have to first be honest with what those feelings are and challenge our illusions and normal to see beyond what is comfortable.  Accept the uncomfortable feelings you have and explore them beyond your normal sense of perception and see where they take you and what you gain from this experience.

Feelings for us all are foreign and unfamiliar this is because when we are conceived we know nothing of this, we have not yet grown or developed any of our senses in which allow us to take on such emotions we do feel from our mothers when they carry us in their womb, every emotion they feel we feel.  This takes me to a story from someone very special in which she told me of an incident of her granddaughter and how she reacted when her parents took her to the Memorial site of the 911 victims.  Her parents went to New York for a vacation and they went to visit the memorial site and during the time in which she was pregnant with her daughter she had watched a show that was focused on the story of that day.  From this the mother felt so much from what happened that day that this feeling transferred to her unborn daughter and when they visited the site, her daughter instantly started crying and feeling the emotions of the those souls that had been lost at that site, it was so overwhelming for her they had to take her immediately from the memorial site so she could calm down.  Her mother did not understand why she had reacted like this, what brought on those feelings from such a young child and at that time I think she was only one or two years of age.  When her mother asked her did you ever watch anything on television about this while you were pregnant she said, yes.  Her feelings of remorse transferred to her unborn daughter.  Yet, because we are not yet of our own senses this sense of feeling is foreign because we are not yet developed enough to understand what is going on and why we feel the way we feel.  It is only after we are born that we begin to have our feelings emerge outwardly for others to see, for us to have our own sense of feelings and how they make us feel or react to certain things.  We are trying to develop and understand what is going on and why we feel the way we do, and sometimes we can go our whole lives without this understanding.

Our feelings are so deeply embedded into who we are and many times in today’s society not accepted, so we often times told to ignore them, they are not real, we’ll talk about it later from that you learn to hide your feelings and from that you never gain understanding of yourself.  Feelings are such a powerful part of who we are that it is necessary to learn how to handle them, to open yourself up, allow them to overcome you with a flooding sensation to ride that wave to understand who you are as a young lady and a woman.  So many are raised to mentally and emotionally dependant they never truly learn how to handle a situation when they are faced with something be it easy or hard, why?  You did not have the guidance as a young girl to learn how to experience your feelings.  Feelings are very powerful.  Feelings are normal, they are part of who we are and when guided how to connect to them and understand why we feel what we feel you will have a greater understanding of yourself and who you are, with this you will be able to open yourself up to others as well as understand others.  We have to see beyond the naked eye and a feeling is looking beyond what we can physically see, because we must look with our heart.

Life is about experiences, but it is what we learn from our experiences that is of true value, life is not about this insanity we have made it about. It is time to put aside EGO, the Vanity, the Blasphemy against each other and realise we are all in reality ONE, one people, on one earth, connected to each other, and that “God” a the label we give to the higher unknown force that we like to explain everything with is just that, all knowing, all seeing, everywhere, expanding and creating all life and nature.

“Faith without work is Dead”. This is very true. To merely believe in something without experience, without doing the work needed to accomplish the goal is ignorance at its best. Remember…IGNORANCE IS A CHOICE.

Religion is a powerful thing and we all are from the ONE and follow our own paths, and each one of us gain something from that in which we draw from within our heart, we do not need force our beliefs onto another to be of them, we just need to stop with EGO and respect and accept one another for who we are and what is from within the HEART and nothing more.

Love is the most powerful magic of all.

The top two quotes are from a book I am reading and it hit me to share today called Initiation of the Soul Esoteric and Occult Philosophy, Consciousness.

Winter Solstice Cards

2014-12-21 14.10.29_resizedWishing you all a most blessed Winter Solstice, today I did a different style of reading for the Solstice using the Oracles of John Dee.

We look at the centre where we have the Gold Geographer — here it speaks to life’s events and reactions according to our own nature.  Always be willing to look behind the true meaning and not the outward appearance and seek to navigate around the doubt that can happen when we least expect.

Then we go to the Red Historian in the North which focus on Work Influences telling us not to get bogged down with the minutiae of living as this is a distraction to greater events in your life that stand out.  Reflect on your life if you feel stuck seek to make changes.

Here Urial asks?  What change do you think you might need?   Be honest with yourself!

Then we move to the east and the Green Historian which represents your Health and Happiness.  Everywhere in your life connections exist.  Search for pattens as you follow the road before you.  In your heath you will find mirrors that are cause and effect.  Look to your dreams for the hidden clues.  Here Raphael asks?  What are your dreams telling you?

Now to the South the place of Intentions and Direction.  We have the Green Geographer telling us it is easy to loose your way through the countless paths in life be willing to look at the long road ahead and when things feel complicated look to the simple things in life and with this mark the most important journeys in your life.  Here Michael asks?  What guidance do you look for on your journey?

Then last we come to the West and that of the Red Astronomer which represents Love and Inspiration.   Love should never been seen as a negotiation but as a shared experience, take care not to become the leading partner in your relationship and instead seek the harmonious understandings that make friendship and essential part of every love story.  Gabriel asks?  What remains when the tide is withdrawn?

May all be blessed in the season of the Light as Apollo the Sun once again prepares to rise above the heavens and the light of day once again becomes longer.

Banshee i.e. Bean Sidhe

Bean Sídhe, the O’Neill Banshee banshee3

By Mac and O
You’ll always know
True Irishmen they say’.
But if they lack
The O and Mac,
No Irishmen are they’.

The Banshee is believed to be an unearthly attendant on the ancient families of Ireland, the true descendants of the noble Gaelic race – which those who have the Mac and O to their names. The banshee from the Irish bean sídhe (“woman of the side” or “woman of the fairy mounds”) is a female spirit in Irish mythology and folklore, usually seen as an omen of death and a messenger from the otherworld.

Her Scottish counterpart is the bean shìth (also spelled bean-shìdh).The aos si (people of the mounds, people of peace) are variously believed to be the survivals of pre-Christian Gaelic deities, spirits of nature, or the ancestors.

The story of the bean-sidhe began as a fairy woman keening at the death of important personages. In later stories, the appearance of the banshee could foretell death. Traditionally, when a member of an Irish village, townland, or a prestigious clan died, a woman would sing a lament (in Irish: caoineadh, or “caoin” meaning “to weep, to wail”) at the individuals funeral.

These women singers were sometimes referred to as “keeners” and the best keeners would be in much demand.  Therefore there may be a connection between these attributes and the legend of the Banshee.

As mentioned above Banshees were said to appear for particular Irish families. As, an ancestral spirit appointed to forewarn members of certain ancient Irish families of their time of death.

According to tradition, the banshee can only cry for five major Irish families: the O‘Neills, the O’Briens, the O’Connors the O’Gradys and the Kavanaghs. Intermarriage has since extended this select list.

The banshee can appear in a variety of guises. Most often she appears as an ugly, frightening hag. The hag may also appear as a washer-woman, or bean-nighe (washing woman), and is seen washing the blood stained clothes and at times the arms, limbs, heads and armour of those who are about to die in battle.

But she can also appear as a stunningly beautiful woman of any age that suits her. Some theolopist and adherents of the Celtic Christians even believe that the Banshee figures are angels who fell and were trapped on earth.

However, most believe that the three forms of women represent the triple aspects of the Celtic goddess of war and death, namely Badhbh, Macha and Mor-Rioghain.)In some tales, the figure who first appears to be a “banshee” is later revealed to be the Irish battle goddess, the Morrigan.

There is also a strong belief that the Banshee and her legned represents Ireland itself. Hence Ireland is always seen as as women or mother figure and is always protected by her sons or its most Royal clans. Therefore the Banshee weeps at the loss of her very flesh and blood year after year day after day, forever.

Banshees are frequently described as dressed in white or grey, hooded cloak or the winding sheet or grave robe of the unshriven dead and often with a silver comb.

Ancient tradition and stories state that, if you ever see a comb lying on the ground in Ireland, you must never pick it up, because the banshee/banshee’s having placed it there to lure unsuspecting humans, will spirit such gullible humans away.

Although not always seen, her mourning call is heard, usually at night when someone is about to die and usually around woods. So that the wailing of the banshee was the first warning the household had of the death. In Irish legend, a banshee wails or laments, nearby if someone is about to die.

In the old Gaelic legends, music and poetry were said to be fairy gifts and the possession of these was said to show a fatal kinship with the ‘Duine Shee’, or people of the spirit race. Therefore the skill of the lament or the song is a gift that a fairy women or Banshee should surely have of course.

The wail of the Banshee is a peculiarly mournful sound that resembles the melancholy sound of the hollow wind, and having the tone of the human voice, and is distinctly audible at a great distance. The wail depending on the area can also vary greatly and there are numerous descriptions regarding its sound.

At times it can be so piercing that it shatters glass, in Co Kerry in the southwest of Ireland, the sound is experienced as a “low, pleasant singing”; in Tyrone in the north, as “the sound of two boards being struck together”; and on Rathlin Island as “a thin, screeching sound somewhere between the wail of a woman and the moan of an owl”.With her mournful and melancholy cry, bewails the misfortune about to fall on the family she loves.

If more than one Banshee appears simultaneously then it indicates those who died was a hero or a saint. However, the singing of the Banshee will vary depending on the relationship of the Banshee with the dead person or his family.

When you have a good relationship and she will sing a song softly suggestive to entertain the family left. The Banshee will proclaim the death of someone who does not like passing a horrible scream! However it has been stated by some writers that the Banshee was actuated by a feeling inimic to the person lamented. This however was not the opinion of the people of an earlier day in Ireland.

The general belief was that the Banshee was the friend of the family she followed, that she at one period enjoyed life and walked the earth in the light and shadow of loveliness and immortality. The very fact of the unearthly creatures always crying their sweet, sad song of sorrow at some misfortune bears this out, for if otherwise than a friend, why should her song not be one of rejoicing instead of lamentation?

When the caoine or keen of the Banshee was heard in the vicinity of the house of any old Gaelic family, it was at once felt that misfortune or death awaited some member of it. Instances have been quoted of every member of a family having been in vigorous health when the cry of the Banshee was first heard, but before a week had elapsed someone had been accidentally drowned or killed or had met sudden death in some fashion.

In Ireland, those persons who have the gifts of music and song are, it is said, watched over by the spirits; one the Spirit of Life, which is prophecy, such persons are said to be ‘fey’ and to have the gift of the second sight; the other, the Spirit of Doom, which is the reveler of secrets of misfortune and death, and for this the messenger of death is another name for the Banshee.

It is well to remember that the Banshee belongs exclusively to the Celtic race. She is never heard bewailing the approaching demise of any member of the other races composing the population of Ireland,Scotland and the other few remaining Celtic countrys.

‘Hast thou heard the Banshee at morn,
Passing by the silent lake,
Or walking the fields by the orchard?
Alas! that I do not rather behold
White garlands in the hall of my fathers.’

According to legend when we are passed by a Banshee and greeted by very friendly tone, we as mere mortals can then gain their trust. Therefore she will tell us the name of family members who will die later, or to grant a request for us.

According to tradition in 1437, King James I of Scotland was approached by an Irish seer or banshee who foretold his murder at the instigation of the Earl of Atholl. This is an example of the banshee in human form. There are records of several human banshees or prophets attending the great houses of Ireland and the courts of local Irish kings.

By Lough Neagh’s shore, hard by Edenduff-Carrick, the Black Brow of the Rock, the ruined walls of the Shanes Castle still sits above the grey lake water where once in all its pride of power and ownership dwelt one of Ireland’s most powerful branches of the clan, the Clanaboy O’Neills and its Chieftains.

Here, from time immemorial, when any misfortune threatened one of the grand old race, the cry of the Banshee of the O’Neills would be heard throughout dark woods of Coile Ultagh away over the grey waters of Lough Neagh, and along the walls of the old castle echoing in the great vaults underneath and wailing over the graves of the great O’Neills.

Maeveen was the name that was on the Banshee of the O’Neills. She was some times seen as well as heard, and the form she usually assumed was that of a very old woman with long white locks falling down over her thin shoulders. The story of how Maeveen or (little- Mab) became a Banshee has always been described in the following maner

In ancient times one of the O’Neill Chiefs went to help the McQuillan chief in one of his warlike raids. On his arrival he saw a cow caught in a thorn tree. As this tree was considered sacred by the fairies, no one would cut a branch to release the poor animal.

However the O’Neill Chief did, when he and the McQuillan returned to Shanes castle. They found that the O’Neill Chieftans daughter had been dragged to the depths of Lough Neagh by the fairy folk. It was at this point that Maeveen took her unearthly position as the Clanaboy O’neills Banshee.

From then to the present day when evil threatened a member of the family. Her shriek was heard upon the shore and along the ruined walls of the castle. Legend also blames the banshee for the fire, which destroyed Shane’s Castle in 1816.

As an added note for Halloween at the time a party was being held in the castle. As the fire took hold the guest fled the building and gathered on the grounds outside.

One of the guests, a Captain Greer who was a country magistrate from Randalstown, recounted afterwards that he had seen a person dressed in armour pass by one of the upstairs’ windows several times. As the building had been evacuated by this time, there was no reasonable explanation for what the Captain saw.

The Banshee was also very shy of encountering the eye of a mortal. The slightest human sound borne on the breeze of twilight drove her from sight and caused her to disappear like a thing of the mist.

It should also be remembered that although Banshees are said to be solitary spirits. There is always meant to be more than one and each branch of the O’Neill clan is said to have its own Banshee.

Moore, in his beautiful song, asks:

‘How oft has the Banshee cried
How oft has death untied,
Bright links that glory move,
Sweet bonds entwined by love.’

Fall Blessings to you All

AncientMagicBookandRavenThe time of magic and change is upon us all, the leaves are changing colours, all things are moving to the time when the earth is under dimmer lights, the sun sets earlier and brings us the sunset lights, as Apollo returns home to the farther northern lands. The Moon and stars are high in the sky, the time of the old ways, the spirits as they are walking among the living is upon. We are in a very magical and special time when we begin to do the work of shedding away those things, persons and anything that does not bring blessings into our live and cutting it out.

This is the time in which spells are cast, the readings of the spirits are among us and joining all of our mind in the Web of Wyrd in doing our work with Hecate the Queen of the Underworld, Queen of Justice and Truth, the bringer of hidden actions, acts and deeds against us out into the light with her torches that guide us through the darkness the place in which all Wisdome derives. It is this time we do our work and Justice will be done.

This is my first Autumn/Fall home in 28 years, as I watch the trees changes the colours of the leaves and feel the change in the air from hot to crisp and I wake up each morning blessed more than the day before. I wake up to see the stars and constellations above me as I do my morning rites before I begin my day when the Moon is high in the sky she shines her radiating light upon me as I begin my day with the Blessings of Isis and Diana the Mothers and Creators of us all upon me.

The magic of this time is so amazing and this is my favourite time of the year, this is the time when I honour and celebrate my Ancestors for So win is named after one of my ancestors from the Old So win date, originally being called the Feast of Mongfind. No wonder I love this time so very much I am of the old soul and I walk amoung the spirits and see what they show me I am to share with you all.

May the blessings be to you all this season and always walk with your Torches of Hecate to reveal the shadows into the light as the light is the soul of us all, the darkness is just that darker skies and the wisdome we gain from within that darkness will only allow us to grow.

Always want blessings for others and always seek to better others and if you cannot be an inspiration or one who seeks to give another Empowerment than seek within yourself as to why you are willing to be there when asked by another for help or communication of what is ahead. Do not show favouritism over others for we all unique and great in our own ways, we all are individuals and of free will and mind. Do not conform to appease others for then you are not being true to yourself but doing for others this will only oppress you in your journey.

This is my blessing to you all this season.

I will begin my work tomorrow doing readings and I hope as this season is upon us those who seek to have guidance and seek to speak to others on the other side, have questions or concerns answered do so openly and let your heart and mind guide you for I am here to help you find understand and clarity. Many Blessings to you Always As by Rising Moon and Setting Sun It SO SHALL BE DONE!!!!

Planets and our Fate

I have been seeing a lot of this in clients charts at birth, many wonder why they have so many afflictions throughout life. The eighth house is the house where many issues arise and it said that when you have a good planet in this house you will receive damage from good men, but if those same planets are well they will bring good things into your life.

Many do not believe that the planets, the fixed stars, the motion in which they travel or for that matter the heavens have any say in our lives. Yes, the planets are there, their nature, effects , energies and more have existed from billions of years and it is the technique in which was used by the Sumerians, and all those cultures prior to modern inventions. The Sumerians were the first inventors of all knowledge we have today, they were the first to define how the stars related to below the heavens events. When it is a good time for building they used the planets, for the planting of the crops they used the planets, for marriages they used the planets, for reading the signs of war they used the planets, for harvesting they used the planets.

We are all created from the same force in this great big universe, we have different personalities, likes, dislikes, beliefs, interests and more, this is what defines us. Yet, we are all born of a certain path of fate and in all these things it is those planets that rule us when we are born that predicts all of these things within us. Yes, we are taught but in the of our fate, we are our Destiny.
